A person must
not —
(a) use
the title “medical radiation technologist” unless the person is a
medical radiation technologist;
(b) use
a title as defined in paragraph (a) of the definition of
“restricted title” in section 3 unless that person is a
medical radiation technologist registered in the area of medical imaging
technology;
(c) use
a title as defined in paragraph (b) of the definition of
“restricted title” in section 3 unless that person is a
medical radiation technologist registered in the area of nuclear medicine
technology;
(d) use
a title as defined in paragraph (c) of the definition of
“restricted title” in section 3 unless that person is a
medical radiation technologist registered in the area of radiation therapy; or
(e)
advertise, or otherwise hold out or imply, that the person is registered or
entitled, either alone or with others, to practise medical radiation
technology.
Penalty:
(a) for
a first offence, a fine of $2 500; and a daily penalty of $100;
(b) for
a second or subsequent offence, a fine of $5 000; and a daily penalty of
$200.
