CRIMINAL PROCEDURE ACT 2004 (NO. 71 OF 2004) - SECT 146
146 . Acquittal
on account of unsoundness of mind
If under The Criminal
Code section 27 an accused is found not guilty of a charge on account of
unsoundness of mind, whether by a court of summary jurisdiction or by a
jury’s special verdict or by a judge under section 93(1) or in a
trial by the judge alone, the court must record the finding.
