(1) This regulation
applies in addition to regulation 39.
(2) The mine operator
of a mine must ensure that each worker at the mine is given suitable and
adequate information, training and instruction in relation to the
following —
(a) all
hazards associated with the work being carried out by the worker;
(b) the
implementation of control measures relating to the work being carried out by
the worker, including control measures in relation to fatigue, the consumption
of alcohol and the use of drugs;
(c) the
content and implementation of the mine safety management system for the mine;
(d) the
emergency plan for the mine.
Penalty for this subregulation:
(a) for
an individual, a fine of $4 200;
(b) for
a body corporate, a fine of $21 000.
