(1) The mine operator
of a mine must ensure that, before a worker commences work at the
mine —
(a) the
worker is given a summary of the mine safety management system for the mine
that is relevant to the worker’s work at the mine; and
(b) the
worker is informed of their right to see the mine safety management system for
the mine under regulation 622(4)(a).
Penalty for this subregulation:
(a) for
an individual, a fine of $4 200;
(b) for
a body corporate, a fine of $21 000.
(2) If the mine safety
management system for a mine is revised, the mine operator of the mine must
ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that each worker at the mine is
made aware of any revision that is relevant to work being carried out by the
worker.
Penalty for this subregulation:
(a) for
an individual, a fine of $4 200;
(b) for
a body corporate, a fine of $21 000.
