(1) This regulation
applies to the following plant —
(a) any
mobile plant operating from either trailing cables or reeling cables;
(b) any
other plant for which the supply cable may be exposed to the risk of damage
due to tension;
(c) any
equipment connected by restrained plugs and receptacles complying with
AS/NZS 1299:2009.
(2) The mine operator
of a mine must ensure that, in respect of the plant, a system of monitoring of
the earth continuity is provided that automatically disconnects the
electricity supply to a cable in the event of a break in the earth conductor.
Penalty for this subregulation:
(a) for
an individual, a fine of $7 000;
(b) for
a body corporate, a fine of $35 000.
