A person who, at a
construction site where tilt‑up work (other than work relating to the
manufacture of a concrete panel) is proposed to be done, is a person with
management or control of the workplace must ensure that —
(a) the
work is directly supervised by a person who is a competent person concerning
the tilt‑up work; and
(b) each
person involved in the tilt‑up work has completed —
(i)
a specified VET course concerning the aspect of the work
in which the person is involved; or
(ii)
a course that was, immediately before the commencement of
this regulation, approved by the Commissioner under the Occupational Safety
and Health Regulations 1996 regulation 3.88I(1)(b).
Penalty:
(a) for
an individual, a fine of $7 000;
(b) for
a body corporate, a fine of $35 000.
