Victorian Current Acts Victorian Current Acts(1) Despite anything to the contrary in this Act or any other Act, the use of solitary confinement in relation to a child or young person held in custody in a youth justice custodial centre is prohibited.
(2) In this section—
"solitary confinement", in relation to a child or young person," "means the physical isolation of the child or young person for 22 or more hours in a 24 hour period, without minimum meaningful human contact required under section 487.
