(1) A building surveyor must refuse an application for a temporary occupancy permit under section 230 if satisfied that the building or temporary structure is not suitable for temporary occupation.(2) A building surveyor, by notice in writing within the prescribed period, is to notify an applicant of (a) the refusal to grant the application; and(b) the reasons for the refusal; and(c) the right of appeal under this Act in respect of the refusal.
