(1) On completion of
the investigation of a medical radiation technologist and after
considering —
(a) any
report given to the committee under section 66(1); and
(b) any
representations made by the medical radiation technologist under
section 66(4),
the impairment review
committee is to decide whether or not further action should be taken.
(2) If the impairment
review committee decides that further action should be taken, it is to request
that the medical radiation technologist consent —
(a) to
the imposition of conditions on his or her registration;
(b) to
being suspended from the practice of medical radiation technology for a
period, not exceeding 2 years, specified by the impairment review
committee; or
(c) to
undergo counselling specified by the impairment review committee.
(3) If the impairment
review committee decides that no further action should be taken it is to give
written advice to that effect to —
(a) the
Board;
(b) the
complainant, if any; and
(c) the
medical radiation technologist.
