commencement day means the day on which the
Work Health and Safety Act 2020 section 3 comes into operation;
longer transitional period means the period of
2 years beginning on commencement day;
MSIA means the Mines Safety and Inspection
Act 1994 as in force immediately before commencement day;
MSIR means the Mines Safety and Inspection
Regulations 1995 as in force immediately before commencement day;
registered manager , of a mine, means a person
appointed as a registered manager of the mine under the MSIA section 33;
shorter transitional period means the period of
12 months beginning on commencement day.
