Western Australian Current Regulations Western Australian Current Regulations If the mine operator
of an underground mine is not certain on reasonable grounds whether or not
regulation 648 is being complied with, the mine operator must ensure that
air monitoring is carried out by —
(a) a
mine air quality officer or underground ventilation officer; or
(b) a
competent person under the supervision of a mine air quality officer or
underground ventilation officer.
Penalty:
(a) for
an individual, a fine of $7 000;
(b) for
a body corporate, a fine of $35 000.
