Victorian Current Acts Victorian Current Acts(1) The Secretary must provide a child or young person serving a sentence of detention in a youth justice custodial centre an opportunity to obtain legal advice in respect of an application to the Youth Parole Board for a transfer direction under Division 2 or 4 before the application is heard and determined.
(2) A person providing legal advice to a child or young person under subsection (1) is not permitted to attend the hearing of the application.
