Victorian Current Acts Victorian Current ActsA person, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse, must not take or receive any article or thing from the following persons, without the consent of the Commissioner for Youth Justice, for the purpose of conveying or taking the article or thing away from the youth justice custodial centre or youth justice community service centre (as the case requires)—
(a) a child or young person held in custody in a youth justice custodial centre;
(b) a child or young person who is attending a youth justice community service centre.
Penalty:
(a) in the case of a child, 120 penalty units or detention in a youth justice custodial centre for 12 months;
(b) in any other case, imprisonment for 2 years.
