(1) An order to demolish or remove work is to be made no later than 12 months after the person making the order becomes aware of the reason for the order to demolish or remove work.(2) An order to stop work, cease occupation, carry out work necessary to rectify a defect, remedy a hazard, or cause a building to no longer be dilapidated is to be made no later than 24 months after the person making the order becomes aware of the defect to which the order relates.(3) An order under section 247 is to be made no later than 24 months after the person making the order becomes aware of the relevant contravention.
