(1) Emergency work does not need to be notified to a building surveyor,
or a permit authority, before it is performed.
(2) The responsible person for emergency work must take all reasonable
steps to ensure that the performance of the emergency work does not threaten
the health and safety of any person. Penalty: Fine not exceeding
100 penalty units.
(3) The responsible person for emergency work must give to the relevant
permit authority notice of the emergency work, in an approved form,
within the prescribed period after the work is completed.
Penalty: Fine not exceeding 100 penalty units.
(4) Subsection (3) does not apply if the responsible person for the emergency work gives the relevant permit authority notice of the emergency work before the completion of the work to which the notice relates.
