   TOBACCO PRODUCTS (LICENSING)
       AMENDMENT BILL 1992


                     EXPLANATORY NOTES

  Clause 1 cites the short title of this Act.
  Clause 2 provides for the commencement of section 4(1) on 1 December
1992.
  Clause 3 provides for amendment to the Tobacco Products (Licensing)
Act.
   Clause 4 inserts the new rate of 75% for the calculation of fees to be paid
for the issue or renewal of a licence. The new rate will apply to licences
issued or renewed for or in the licence period December 1992.
