The Parliament of Queensland enacts-- 1
1 Short title 2
This Act may be cited as the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition 3
(Queensland) Authorisation Act 2001. 4
2 Definitions 5
In this Act-- 6
"Commonwealth Act" means the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 7
1997 (Cwlth). 8
"principal Act" means the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition 9
(Queensland) Act 1999. 10
3 Authorisation 11
The Governor in Council is authorised for section 5 of the principal Act 12
to make, for the Commonwealth Act, section 43(1), a gazette notice in the 13
form stated in the schedule.1 14
4 Expiry 15
This Act expires when the principal Act expires.2 16

Section 43(1) of the Commonwealth Act--
References to endorsing a proposed regulation
43.(1) For the purposes of this Part, a jurisdiction endorses a regulation if the
designated person for the jurisdiction publishes a notice in the official gazette of the
jurisdiction setting out and endorsing the terms of the regulation before it is made.
2 Section 8 of the principal Act provides for its expiry.

This notice may be cited as the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition 8
(Queensland) Authorisation Notice (No. 1) 2001. 9
2 Endorsement of proposed Commonwealth regulations amending 10
the Commonwealth Act about energy efficiency labelling 11
The Governor in Council endorses the proposed Commonwealth 12
regulation, set out in schedule 1, to amend the Commonwealth Act in 13
relation to energy efficiency labelling. 14
3 Endorsement of proposed Commonwealth regulations amending 15
the Commonwealth Act in relation to South Australian legislation 16
about firearms and other prohibited or offensive weapons 17
The Governor in Council endorses the proposed Commonwealth 18
regulation, set out in schedule 2, to amend the Commonwealth Act in 19
relation to the Summary Offences Act 1953 (SA). 20
