Regulations under the Trans-Tasman

Mutual Recognition Act


I, NEIL RAYMOND CONN, the Administrator of the Northern Territory of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act.

TRANS-TASMAN MUTUAL RECOGNITION (TEMPORARY EXEMPTIONS) REGULATIONS

1. CITATION

These Regulations may be cited as the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition (Temporary Exemptions) Regulations.
2. COMMENCEMENT
These Regulations come into operation on 1 January 1999.


3. TEMPORARY EXEMPTIONS RELATING TO CERTAIN ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT

For the purposes of section 46 of the Commonwealth Act, the Electricity By-Laws are declared to be exempt from the operation of the Commonwealth Act to the extent that they deal with articles of electrical equipment.
4. EXPIRY
These Regulations expire 12 months after the day on which they commence.
