CRIMES COMPENSATION REGULATIONS

Regulations under the Crime (Victims Assistance) Act

  1. Citation

These Regulations may be cited as the Crimes Compensation Regulations.

  1. Application for compensation

For the purposes of section 5 of the Act:

(a) a victim may apply for a compensation certificate by lodging with the Clerk of the Local Court an application in accordance with Form 1 of the Schedule; and

(b) a person who represents the interests of the dependants of a deceased victim may apply for a compensation certificate by lodging with the Clerk of the Local Court an application in accordance with Form 2 of the Schedule.

  1. Compensation certificate

For the purposes of section 8(1) of the Act, a compensation certificate shall accord with Form 3 of the Schedule.

COMPENSATION CERTIFICATE
