An Act to amend the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia Consolidated Trust
Act 1994 to provide that duty is not chargeable when property is conveyed to the
Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia Consolidated Trust from a person who
holds that property on behalf of a Greek Orthodox parish or congregation.
I have examined this Bill, and find it to correspond in all respects with the Bill
as finally passed by both Houses.

The Legislature of New South Wales enacts:
1 Name of Act
This Act is the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia Consolidated
Trust Amendment (Duties) Act 2006.
2 Commencement
This Act commences on the date of assent.
3 Amendment of Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia Consolidated
Trust Act 1994 No 65
The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia Consolidated Trust Act
1994 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

(Section 3)
Section 21A
Insert after section 21:
21A Payment of duty not required in certain cases
Duty under the Duties Act 1997 is not chargeable in respect of, or
in connection with, a conveyance to the Trust of property from a
person or body who holds that property on behalf of any parish or
congregation of the Church.
