2010-2011 THE PARLIAMENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA SENATE TERTIARY EDUCATION QUALITY AND STANDARDS AGENCY BILL 2011 ADDENDUM TO THE EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM PART 3 - CLAUSE 26 (Page 20) At the end of clause 26 add the following paragraphs: 'For the purposes of clause 26, a course of study offered by a registered higher education provider is not provided wholly or partly by another entity where the provider merely gives credit to a student for study undertaken with another entity (such as recognition of prior learning or student exchanges). Therefore clause 26 does not apply in relation to a provider where the study a student is required to undertake with the provider to complete a course of study offered by the provider is reduced because the provider gives recognition or credit to the student for some study or qualification provided to the student by another entity. However, a course of study offered by a provider is provided wholly or partly by another entity where the provider requires or allows the student to undertake study provided by another entity as part of the course of study offered by the provider.'
