         AMENDMENTS TO THE FAIR WORK AMENDMENT (SUPPORTING
       AUSTRALIA'S JOBS AND ECONOMIC RECOVERY) BILL 2020 OUTLINE


This amendment provides for the removal of amendments to section 189 of the Fair Work
Act 2009 from Part 5 of Schedule 3 to the Fair Work Amendment (Supporting Australia's
Jobs and Economic Recovery) Bill 2020.

NOTES ON AMENDMENTS

In these notes on amendments, the following abbreviations are used:

Amendment 1 - Clause 2, page 2 (table items 5 to 9)
1.     This amendment omits table items 5 to 9 of Clause 2 to the Bill and substitutes them
       with a new table item, which provides that Schedules 3 and 4 to the Bill will commence
       the day after the Act receives the Royal Assent. This amendment is consequential to the
       omission of Division 2 of Part 5 of Schedule 3 to the Bill.
Amendment 2 - Schedule 3, heading to Division 1, page 43 (line 2)
2.     This amendment omits the heading to Division 1 of Part 5 of Schedule 3 to the Bill.
       This amendment is consequential to the omission of Division 2 of Part 5 of Schedule 3
       to the Bill.
Amendment 3 - Schedule 3, items 17 to 23, page 43 (line 4) to page 44 (line 10)
3.     This amendment omits items 17 to 23 of Schedule 3 to the Bill, which concern
       amendments to section 189 of the Act.
Amendment 4 - Schedule 3, Division 2, page 46 (lines 5 to 20)
4.     This amendment omits Division 2 of Part 5 of Schedule 3 to the Bill, which concerns
       the repeal of the amendments to section 189 of the Act.
Amendment 5 - Schedule 7, item 1, page 102 (lines 19 to 22)
5.     This amendment omits subclause 50(4) from new Part 10 to Schedule 1 of the Act,
       inserted by Schedule 7 to the Bill, which concerns the application of Division 2 of Part
       5 of Schedule 3 to the Bill. This amendment is consequential to the omission of that
       Division.
