   LEGISLATION AMENDMENT (FURTHER ELECTION COMMITMENTS AND OTHER MEASURES)

OUTLINE



These amendments will result in the removal  of  Schedule  4  of  the  Bill.
That Schedule provides for notice of payments  of  recompense  for  personal
injuries to be given to Centrelink.

                            Government amendments


NOTES ON AMENDMENTS


Amendment 1 amends item 3 in the table on page 2 of the Bill which  provided
that Schedule 4 of the Act would commence  on  the  date  Act  receives  the
Royal Assent.


Amendment 2 provides that Schedule 4 of the Bill be opposed.
