The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1  Short title

  This Act may be cited as the Migration Amendment (Visa

Maximum Numbers Determinations) Act 2013.

2  Commencement

  This Act commences on the day after this Act receives the Royal 

8 

Assent.

(2)  Despite subsection 44(2) of the Legislative Instruments Act 2003,

section 42 (disallowance) of that Act applies to an instrument made

under subsection (1) of this section.

3  Application of amendments

The amendments made by this Schedule apply to determinations made 

11 

under section 85 of the Migration Act 1958 on or after 2 December 

12 

2013.

4  Determination IMMI 13/156 

14 

The determination made under section 85 of the Migration Act 1958 on 

15 

2 December 2013 (IMMI 13/156) ceases to have effect on the 

16 

commencement of this item, if it has not already ceased to have effect.
