EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM

The objective of this Act is to amend section 45 of the Charitable Collections Act 2003.

Section 1 and 2 are formal requirements. They deal with the short title of the Act and the commencement provisions.

Section 3 states that this Act will amend the Charitable Collections Act 2003.

Section 4 substitutes the title ‘Payment into bank account’ for section 45 of the Charitable Collections Act 2003.

Section 5 removes the word trust from section 45(2) of the Charitable Collections Act 2003.

Section 6 creates a new definition for bank account in section 45(5) of the Charitable Collections Act 2003.

Section 7 removes the definition for trust bank account in section 45(5)
